Kindle Paperwhite can support all UTF fonts w/o jailbreaking, including Tibetan. Below are the steps:
- Mount the Paperwhite
- Create the file
USE_ALT_FONTS
in the mounted volume. - Create the folder
fonts
in the mounted volume, and add fonts consisting of all the following (whereFont
is the name of your font):Font-Regular.ttf
(.otf
is also supported for the files)Font-Bold.ttf
Font-Italic.ttf
Font-BoldItalic.ttf
- Restart the device
- You may need to clear the font cache by searching on the home screen for
;fc-cache
and then restarting.
You can choose any UTF-8 Tibetan fonts. There is a Tibetan fonts wiki page on Digital Tibetan website.
Here is my result (My firmware version is 5.4.4.2.)
